Welcome Spencer!

Spencer Austin was born on one of the best days! 1-7-11! We celebrated later that day with Bill and the kids bringing me a slurpee. LOL. We went to the hospital at 5 AM and Spencer was born at 6:57 AM. He was sideways, so the doctors had to do a little bit of maneuvering to get him out, but everything went well and yes, he actually made it to 38 weeks! He is the one that has lasted the longest and he was the biggest too! He was 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. He lost a little bit of weight while he was in the hospital since he got jaundice. He was borderline when we left. But since we've been home his levels have gotten higher, so we have ended up with a bili-bed for him. Lucky for us it seems to be working really well. His levels have gone down 3 points in one day. So hopefully he won't follow in his big brothers way of being on the bili-light for 24 days. Brin had jaundice too, but hers was the type that you had to take anti seizure medicine to get rid of it as the lights wouldn't work. So, we have had all three kids end up with jaundice. Lucky us! :)

Spencer is a total cutie, and everyone has fallen in love with him. Caden is a great help and loves to see him all the time. Brinley is always excited to see Spencer, however, if he gets too close to her, she tends to push him away. Although, yesterday she helped me burp Spencer. Now we just have to teach her the meaning of "soft". LOL

We are so blessed to have this little miracle in our lives. He is truly meant to be in our family and we are so lucky to have him!
