We had our Youth Conference this last weekend. It was absolutely fabulous! We got to go to a cabin that was up above Sundance and the leaves were so beautiful. They had just started to change and the air was crisp and fall was definately in the air. 
We started out with a fun road rally, that I do have to say that my team won. Wahoo! Way to go guys. :) Then when we got up to the cabin, we had a delicious dinner provided by the faaaaabulous Callie! After dinner we had a great Faith walk. It was truly amazing to feel how strong the spirit was and hear all of the comments that the youth made. We ended up at a tree that had electric tea lights hung from the tree as it represented the Tree of Life. The theme of our Youth Conference was "We Believe" and we focused on what a testimony is and how we gain a testimony and strengthen our testimonies. When we got back to the cabin, we had a fireside where we got to hear the testimonies and conversion stories of a couple people. I love hearing about how people have gained their testimonies. It totally brings back memories of my mission and how cool it was to see how people got testimonies and felt the spirit come into their lives. After that, we got to play games. It was a night of endless laughing and great, great stories. :) It was funny how about half an hour after we told them all to go to sleep, that the girls were out and we didn't hear a peep out of them. LOL
The next morning, we had breakfast and headed out to a fun hike to Stewart Falls. It was so beautiful. The waterfall was fun to see and we had a what I like to call "object lesson". Brooks talked to us about David and Goliath and then we took rocks and wrote a personal trial/Goliath that we had in our lives that we wanted to overcome. Then they had to cross the river on a log where the Bishop was waiting with a slingshot. Then he helped the youth to "sling" their Goliaths away. It was awesome. We then hiked back and had a small testimony meeting where we offered the youth an opportunity to bear their testimonies if they wanted to.
The day rounded out by us being able to raft down the river. It was AWESOME! We were in 3 different rafts and we had huge water fights down the whole river. Just remember, Love River Rafting.....or Little Red Raspberries......or Left, Right, Right. Ha ha ha. :) Lots of talking smack, a couple take downs out of the rafts, getting stuck on the rocks, seeing sheep on the mountainside, one had his head resting on a rock, completely asleep. It was completely unbelievable. I had the best time of my life. Thanks for everyone that made it possible and for everyone that came. I am so lucky to work with some of the best people in the world and to be able to serve with the youth. I loved Youth Conference and I love where I am. :)
