I Love My Boy!

I got the best end of the stick when I got my Caden. :) I love the fact that when we watched Up yesterday, he got really emotional. He cried when Carl's wife died, then he cried when the bad man started the fire on Carl's house. He cried when Carl dumped all the furniture out of his house, he cried when Carl's house disappeared into the clouds, and he laughed and said that he was so happy when Carl and Russel helped Kevin get to her babies and eat ice cream at the end. He loves to sit on my lap and read stories all afternoon, he gets so excited when he remembers words and can read them later on. He has the most tender heart and loves life and loves to have fun. We got to go help Grandpa rake up his leaves in his yard last night, we all had a blast and loved getting buried in the giant leaf pile. Caden loves helping his Grandpa. He took his little shrub rake in the van with us, and when we got to Grandpa's, he said, "Come on Grandpa, let's go get this done!" Then in the van while we were driving around, he has been helping Brinley learn "Do As I'm Doing". This last week, Brinley started clapping along and saying, "aaaaaaaaaaa". So, I count that as singing, and learning from her fabulous big brother. He is constantly singing all day long. He loves to sing and every day comes home from school with a new song that he has learned.

A wonderful helper, a sweet heart, enthusiastic about life and learning, and the best big brother ever! How did I get so lucky?

I know, that movie brought out the emotion in my little men, too. Such sweet little guys we have.
