We Sold Our House!

Yes, after having our house up on the market for 1 month, we have been blessed to sell our house to some great people. They have a cute little boy and I am sure that our neighbors and friends are going to love them.
We also had our offer on a lot in Orem accepted, so we are going to be able to build our house for Brinley. It is a really nice, yet simple house plan that our realator designed. :) We have titled it "The Erin". We are so excited. The sidewalk up to the house is going to be slightly slanted right up to the door so we won't have any steps. The garage is huge and we will be able to fit a ramp to the door if we need it. It has a little storage room/man cave in the back of it for Bill. The kitchen, living room, and dining room will all be open and we will have a hardwood type floor that will be easy for Brinley to get around on with a walker or wheelchair. The hallways are wider, and the doorways are too. The main bath is a bigger floorplan so that we could get a walker or wheelchair in with Brin. And, the best part of all, the bedrooms are huge, and I have the best pantry ever! :) Where it was put in the house, it "had" to be made big to get the walls to be even and easier to frame. What is this size of pantry you might ask? Well, I will tell you. :) It is going to be 12 feet by 7 feet! Yes, it is a pantry that you could use as a bedroom. LOL I will be able to have lots of food storage and stuff in there. I am so excited!
Now we'll just have to make sure we can survive living in the parents house until the house is built. LOL Love you mom!

Yay! I'm so excited for you! Keep your eye on the prize and Chewie out of your moms hair and you'll survive!

So excited for you guys! It can be so stressful selling, moving, building, everything! The selling part has got to be the most stressful so to have that off of your shoulders is fantastic! I'm so happy for you guys. It is going to make all of your lives easier as Brinley grows!

Janet, you can sleep in the bedroom and I will make Bill sleep in the pantry. LOL :)

Are you kidding? Bill would probably love that! All you need to do is install a TV and a toilet in there, and you've created the ultimate guy room!

Bill already has his "man cave" as he calls it in the garage. LOL We'll just need to put the toilet and TV out there.

That's so exciting! Good luck!

We lived with my parents for a month until we could get into our house. It's a little hard to work, no matter how loving and grateful you are, but it's better than living on the street! Flexibility is the key. =o)

Okay, Kat, you've got me beat! My pantry is 8' x 6' (I just went and measured). You will LOVE having a huge pantry. Honestly, those townhomes are what spoiled me in the first place with their larger-than-average pantries. You can never go smaller after that. :-)

Wow, Kat, I am so happy that you guys were able to sell and have your lot and your design all ready and that things seem to be working out just right for you guys! Definitely seems that someone is watching over you and helping everything fall into place the way it should be.

The only thing that would make me happier with this situation would be if you moved NORTH instead of south! ;-)

What wonderful news!!! It sounds like your new place will be just awesome for Brinley and the rest of you too. Selling your house right now is sort of a miracle. Good for you guys. :)
