Caden had his 10th surgery today on his port wine stain, or "his spot" as we call it. :) It isn't a huge surgery. It is same day, and it is a pulse laser dye treatment. In fact we are ususally done in a couple of hours. It kills off the extra blood vessels and lightens the spot so it isn't as dark and red as when it started. We didn't have a whole lot of change in his spot like we have in past surgeries. We talked to the doctor before hand and she told us that he is now at the highest level of the laser. So we are starting to try some different ways to push it so that it will lighten further. So, we don't know how many more he is going to need. However, we still feel good about continuing on with the surgeries. They are every 3 months, so it gives us a little bit of a break in between them. :)
Caden did so good. He kept telling everyone that he didn't want any mask, but we all knew that he would still have to have the mask to put him under. He is fine with everything, but the mask is what scares him. He put up a little bit when they did the mask, but then he was out really quickly. After it was over, he got sick a bit and threw up cause of the anesthesia. However, he was such a good little trooper and didn't complain at all. He would just hold the pan and not complain at all. He is amazing. I look up to him so much. I love him so much. Way to go, my little man!

Way to hang in there Caden! Let me know if I can do anything.
We love Caden! He's a great little guy. Let him know that Matt Beagley will be in our class now, too!
I'm sure it's nice to have it over again! He's such a little trooper. It's hard to have to see your kids go through stuff like this. (((HUGS)))
Glad everything went well, Kat. Have a great day!!!
